Purpose:

To provide a scholarship to a student with a disability enrolled with a major in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Applicants should have a solid academic record. Special consideration given, but not limited to, Colorado residents with multiple sclerosis who are anthropology majors.

Donor Biography:

Lorraine Nelson Herrick, who had progressive debilitation from multiple sclerosis, was graduated from CU-Boulder in 1979 at age 58, after raising her sons. She graduated with a degree in anthropology. This scholarship was established in memory of Ms. Herrick's "unswerving dedication to the ideal of education" in the hope that she will serve as a model to all CU-Boulder students, whether disabled or not.
