Dean's Message
On behalf of my faculty colleagues, I welcome you to the College of Arts and Sciences website.
For over 125 years, the scholarship and creativity of arts and sciences faculty and students have defined the intellectual and instructional core of the Boulder campus. Cognizant of this tradition, the faculty members of the College invite the brightest and most motivated students in the state of Colorado and in the nation to join us as we explore and teach at the frontiers of our disciplines.
The faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences are active scholars in their fields. They create and then translate new knowledge and learned skills into a liberal arts curriculum. Our plans of study emphasize broad training and mastery of elements in the arts and humanities, the social sciences, and the physical and life sciences.
The synergism between our research and teaching activities is the unique advantage that CU Boulder, as the flagship University in the State of Colorado and one of the leading public research universities in the country, offers to its students.
