Arts and Sciences Faculty Positions Notice
The Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences (SLHS) at the University of Colorado at Boulder invites applications for a non-tenure track clinical faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor within the clinical faculty title series. This individual will serve as a clinical faculty member with career aspirations for advancement in clinical education and an academic center. Applicants must have MA or Ph.D., ASHA certification + a minimum of 3 years of full time clinical experience and clinical expertise appropriate to the area of teaching responsibilities and prior experience with mentorship of students in a clinical setting. This is a 9 month + 2 month position working with graduate students serving adults with acquired language and cognitive communication disorders. Clinical teaching takes place in the SLHC Center on campus and in selected offsite locations.
The SLHS faculty includes 11 tenured and tenure-track, 1 instructor and 7 clinical faculty members. SLHS offers the BA, MA (speech-language pathology), MA (research), AuD, and PhD degrees. In addition, dual doctoral degrees are awarded between SLHS and the neuroscience and cognitive science programs in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, as well as the AuD and PhD programs within SLHS. The undergraduate and graduate programs comprise approximately 250 and 125 students, respectively. US News and World Report ranked the speech-language pathology program #25 in the nation.
