Arts and Sciences Faculty Positions Notice

INSTRUCTOR IN THE HONORS PROGRAM, CU-BOULDER COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

The Honors Program at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time position as Instructor, beginning in August 2012. The initial appointment will be made for a three-year term, with the possibility of renewal. Disciplinary concentration open. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Honors seminars on topics in her or his area of expertise and must also be prepared to offer instruction in expository and analytical writing. The appointment carries a teaching load of three courses per semester with a service responsibility equivalent to .25 FTE. Service expectations will include acting as faculty sponsor/advisor to the editorial board of The Honors Journal, participating in undergraduate Honors thesis committees, and representing the Honors program in various outreach activities. Qualifications: Ph.D. or other terminal degree appropriate to discipline; teaching experience and a record of publication within the candidate᾿s discipline are highly desirable.
