CU:

Full-time Instructors - General Process

Letters of offer for 100% (full-time) instructors must be sent to Susan Sires (Susan.Sires@colorado.edu) via e-mail first. The candidate's vita must be submitted at the same time. These are reviewed and forwarded to the associate dean and Faculty Affairs to be sure details in the letter are accurate. You will be notified via e-mail when the letter has been approved for printing. Along with the printed letter you need to submit a letter of recommendation from someone other than the person extending the offer of employment. Once the dean and Associate Vice Chancellor have signed the offer letter, it is delivered to the program assistant for sending to the candidate.

Offers are to be accepted by the candidate and approved by the Chancellor prior to the start date of the appointment.

NOTE: Summer session is separate from academic year appointments and has different requirements. Therefore, letters of offer for summer generally do not require a vita or letter of recommendation. Most of the summer instructors also have academic year appointments, so their credentials have been previously reviewed and approved.
