Faculty Report of Professional Activities (FRPA)
(Much of this information is from an e-mail sent to faculty by Faculty Affairs in late fall.)
The Faculty Report of Professional Activities (FRPA) is to be completed by February 1st each year with information based upon the previous calendar year (January 1 - December 31). Faculty must submit their FRPA reports in order to be eligible for merit-based raises during the campus salary setting process in March and April.
The form is submitted via "FRPA Online," available on the web at http://frpadb.colorado.edu/pls/frpa/forms.logon.
The College recommends that, in addition to all tenured and tenure-track faculty, all full-time instructors complete the FRPA. Part-time instructors, lecturers, and honorarium (adjunct, adjoint, etc.) are exempt.
Upon completion of the FRPA information, the faculty member checks the box(es) to "Complete and Release Report." The information is then submitted electronically to the departments, to Faculty Affairs, and to the Dean's office. No hard copies or signatures are required.
FRPA data are used by the departments as well as by Academic Affairs and other CU-Boulder offices to compile campus statistics on teaching and scholarly research/creative work, and to identify outreach and service opportunities.
Information on how to fill out the FRPA and "Frequently Asked Questions" are also available at the above web location. Contact Liz Tomich in the Office of Faculty Affairs at 492-4226 or email tomich@colorado.edu with questions.
