Student Prehealth Clubs

Alpha Epsilon Delta Prehealth Honor Society (AED)
An honor society that encourages and recognizes excellence in premedical scholarship. AED also seeks to stimulate an appreciation of the importance of premedical education, promote communication between medical and premedical students and educators, provide a forum for students with common interests, and use its resources to benefit health organizations, charities and the community.

American Medical Students Association (AMSA)
AMSA is a student-governed, national organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training. AMSA strives to improve medical training and the nation's health.

Student Association for Prehealth Professionals (SAPP)
SAPP represents a community of students at CU Boulder who are interested in pursuing health-related careers. SAPP is an organization where students interested in all areas of medicine can come together and learn more about the many professions, receive academic or personal guidance, and get detailed advice on applying to graduate schools.

Minority Association for Prehealth Students (MAPS)
The Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) is a network of pre-health students and chapters nationwide that offers guidance for undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in the health profession. Undergraduates are provided with information on how to choose a curriculum and how to excel academically. In addition, the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) serves as a mentor to undergraduate students helping them successfully matriculate into medical school.

Pre-SOMA (Student Osteopathic Medical Association)
Pre-SOMA is the undergraduate division of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association. The goal of Pre-SOMA is to promote and inform the public about osteopathic medical education as well as to increase the number of applicants to osteopathic medical schools. The Student Osteopathic Medical Association, is the student affiliate organization of the American Osteopathic Association.

College Students Against Cancer (CSAC)
CSAC is a student group at the University of Colorado at Boulder dedicated to using leadership to aid those who are affected by cancer. Members of CSAC volunteer and participate in various activities associated with the fight against the disease.

Foundation for International Medical Relief for Children (FIMRC)
A student group dedicated to improving children’s health care and education in the Boulder community and abroad. The main focus is on medical missions. Great volunteer opportunities for experience in international health care and health education.

Neuroscience Club
The Neuroscience club is designed for undergraduate and graduate students interested in discussing research or sharing information on topics in the field of Neuroscience. Activities include hosting speakers from a variety of aspects of neuroscience, shadowing local neurologists and observing neurosurgeries.

Student Emergency Medical Services (SEMS)
A non-profit organization dedicated to providing student medical services at student events. The organization’s goal is to prevent medical emergencies and deaths within the Greek system and at all student events.

Students for Organ Donation
Students for Organ Donation is a student-run organization dedicated to promoting organ and tissue donation, awareness, and registration. We seek to empower CU students to make a difference in a growing international health crisis: the shortage of vital organs and tissues.

Timmy Foundation
An organization that encourages young people and students to strengthen community-based health and education initiatives. This is accomplished through international medical service trips and the delivery of medicines, medical equipment and supplies.
