Child Language Disorders Position

The Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, University of Colorado, Boulder, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Child Language Disorders beginning August 2008. We anticipate hiring at the assistant professor level. However, applications at other levels will be considered from those who would strengthen the department's diversity.
Candidates in all areas of child language disorders will be considered. Candidates in the area of school-age language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, language disorders in bilingual children, language learning disabilities, or dyslexia are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates who have completed the PhD and those who are ABD may apply. Applicants must be highly qualified for undergraduate and graduate teaching.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish an active and independent research program and to compete for extra-mural research funding. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach in the area of school-age language disorders and mentor students in the department’s undergraduate program, in the Master’s SLP program and in the Ph.D. program.
