Department of Humanities ad for 2009 faculty search

Department of Humanities invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment. All applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching and strong interdisciplinary research that shows substantial engagement with the critical/theoretical methodologies of the humanities and their different media. Candidates with strengths in continental philosophy, visual studies, music, or history are encouraged to apply. Historical fields and geographical areas of interest are open for this position. Job duties include teaching, research and publication, and service to the University. Start date August 2010. PhD in a humanities or related field required at time of appointment.
