Arts and Sciences Faculty Positions Notice
East Asian Languages and Civilizations, Instructor in Chinese
The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a one-year appointment as visiting instructor in Chinese, to begin August 2008. Requirements include an MA (Ph.D. preferred) in Chinese language, linguistics, pedagogy, or other related discipline; experience teaching Chinese at the university level; as well as expertise in some aspect of Chinese language, literature, or civilization. Responsibilities include teaching three undergraduate courses per semester. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses in modern Chinese language as well as in the area of specialization. Applicants should submit a letter of application, a current CV, evidence of teaching ability, and three letters of recommendation to the Chair, Department of EALC, University of Colorado, 279 UCB, Boulder, CO 80309-0279.
