DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS

Instructor in Applied Math

The Department of Applied Mathematics is seeking to fill the position of Instructor in Applied Mathematics for a two-year term. The start date is August 2008, subject to final approval. Preference will be given to those candidates with excellent research and teaching records and whose portfolio clearly includes Applied Mathematics with applications. One or more years post Ph.D. academic training is highly desired.

The scholar who accepts this position will teach four courses per academic year. Areas of research expertise within the Department include Mathematical Biology, Computational Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Probability, Nonlinear Waves, Dynamical Systems, Analysis of Differential Equations, and Physical Applied Mathematics.
