Boulos A. Ayad (Ph.D., University of Cairo, 1964)

May 3, 1928 - September 30, 2009

Professor Ayad passed away on September 30, 2009. His teaching included courses of all the areas of Ancient Egypt, Nubia and Sudan, and Ancient Near East, such as:  Archaeology of Ancient Near East, Archaeology of Ancient Egypt, Civilization of Ancient Egypt, Archaeology of Nubia and Sudan, Egyptian Hieroglyphics, and Egypt after the Pharaohs as well as the Ancient Semitic languages and their inscriptions.  His research and creative work covered most of these areas, with special attention given to Ancient Egypt, the relationship between Egypt, Nubia and Sudan, and the other countries of the Ancient Near East; the Jewish Antiquities in the Nile Valley, Coptic Archaeology, and the Ancient Semitic languages and their relationship to the Ancient Egyptian languages.  He submitted papers and gave lectures to various academic societies in Denver, CO, Los Angeles, CA and Phoenix, AZ.
