CU picks 8 for civic scholarships Eight students at the University of Colorado have been chosen for scholarships based on their "civic responsibility, high ethical standards and strong academic goals." The school announced the Puksta scholars Tuesday: Adam Gibbons, Courtni Frank, Regan Walton, Kovi Bessoff, Evan Each will receive a $4,500 scholarship. Puksta scholars are required to be involved in a yearlong project serving the community, school officials said. Some of the scholars this year worked to improve health care for Latino immigrants, mentor at-risk children and analyze impacts of domestic violence for housing programs.
