David Monarchi has been working with computers for over 30 years. He programmed analog computers as an undergraduate student at the Colorado School of Mines. Monarchi has been at the Univerity of Colorado at Boulder since 1972, and has been with Information Systems since 1978. He teaches courses that focus on Database Design, Object Oriented Systems, AI Programming, Intelligent Systems, and Computing and Information Technology. In 1996 Monarchi began directing the Immersive Interactive Learning Environment (IILE). In addition, Monarchi consults in database design and teaches seminars and courses for companies and organzations.
