John Adams has worked as the senior graphic designer for the Institute for Arctic and Alpine Research at CU-Boulder where he performed drafting and cartography for environmental studies of Prudhoe oil fields, the Arctic Ocean, and Siberia. He was a computer graphic artist for G.W Hannaway and Associates in Boulder. Adams has also worked as a freelance computer graphic artist for numerous venues including KCNC TV and ABC Television network. Adams is the creator and publisher of Pure Art, an ongoing fine art "zine." Currently Adams is the digital artist for the CU-Boulder's Physics 2000 project, which is an innovative internet website that teaches physics with emphasis on imagery and interactivity by the use of java-applet programming that enables virtual physics experiments.
