Ichangu
One of the four main Narayan temples, Ichangu Narayan lies on the far west side of the Valley underneath the mountain of Nagarjun. The temple was built by Haridatta, a king who antedated the king Manadeva by several generations. King Haridatta has been assumed to be the founder of the four main hilltop Narayan temples in the Valley (Ichangu, Changu, Sekh - the substitute for the original Lokapalasvamin, and Bisanku). Assuming they were all consecrated around the same time, this dates Ichangu to around the 4th century. The present structure is dated to the 18th century.
