Residence hall rooms for 300 registrants will be available, with a mix of single and double accommodations. An update on cost and a link to register for the dorms will be available soon. Service in the residence halls includes: sheets, blanket or bedspread, pillow, towels, washcloths, and soap.  Daily housekeeping service is provided during the week.  Hard candy mints, ice bucket and plastic cups are also provided.  Each room contains a MicroFridge combination microwave and telephone.  Local telephone calls are free.  Most sleeping rooms have two extra long twin beds, two dressers, two closets, and two desks.  Same sex bathrooms are conveniently located on each floor.  Participants will need to bring an alarm clock since wake-up service is not provided.  All residence halls are smoke free environments and, smoking is not permitted in sleeping rooms.  Some of the residence halls are not air-conditioned.

Hotels

Hotels are located near the periphery of the campus and are all about a 20 minute walk from the main conference sites. The Harvest House is the most upscale of the hotels and is located at Boulder Creek and 28th St. Coming into Boulder from Denver International Airport, US 36 (the Denver-Boulder turnpike) turns into 28th Street, which is the main thoroughfare into Boulder. The Quality Inn and the University Inn are located approximately halfway between campus and downtown Boulder. The Outlook and the Best Western Plus are located across 28th Street from campus.

NEWLY ADDED HOTEL SUGGESTIONS

As hotels where we have blocks of rooms reserved fill up you might consider these alternatives, which are somewhat more distant from campus:

Homewood Suites

Days Hotel Boulder

Camping

There are three National Forest campgrounds in the mountains west of Boulder, each is a 45 to 60 minute or so drive from campus. All are accessed by driving west of Boulder on Highway 119 (the extension of Canyon Blvd) through the mountain town of Nederland, elevation 8200 ft. Getting to Nederland takes about 30 minutes. Kelly Dahl is south of Nederland, slightly lower elevation (8000 ft) and a somewhat drier habitat. Rainbow Lakes is north of Nederland and is an access point to wildnerness area. Brainard Lake is further north of Nederland and and set at the foot of a beautiful cirque. All three campgrounds have nightly charges and making a reservation for a space is very important.
